Biography

Anna-Maria has been working as a project manager in the Olympic Bid Office since April 2023. Most recently, she worked for 5 ½ years at the Austrian Olympic Committee in the Sports Department, where she was also responsible for numerous Olympic events in the youth and adult sectors. She is responsible for Legacy & Knowledge - and therefore also the topic of sustainability - in the Olympic Bid Office. As part of the Olympic Games in Paris, for example, she organized a workshop on “Creating and delivering tangible and intangible legacies using the example of Paris 2024” in the German House. Since September 2021, Anna-Maria has been studying part-time at the German Sport University Cologne on the M.A. Olympic Studies course, which takes a critical look at the world of (Olympic) organized sport (graduating in April 2025). She is currently writing her master's thesis on the possibilities of citizen participation in the context of an Olympic bid. Anna-Maria is also an Austrian national player and reigning world champion in dodgeball in the women's & mixed categories.
